Curved walls guide the eye from one beautiful space to another, with aesthetically rounded corners enhancing the organic flow of the lodge. Stone columns and walls, both inside and out, along with chunky wooden beams on the ceilings, add a natural richness. A renowned Johannesburg metal sculptor created the unique light fittings, railings, and staircase, making this property a true feast for the soul. Attention to detail is evident everywhere, with mosaic inlays, carved doors, handcrafted door handles, and more, adding to the lodge’s uniqueness.

A well-positioned swimming pool stretches in front of the entertainment room, offering a beautiful view of the dam. Da Gama Dam is as enchanting as it is mysterious. Sometimes shrouded in mist, it resembles a Scottish landscape; other times, it is bathed in a warm orange sunset. Lowveld storms may drive you inside to the warmth and security of the log fire, while other times, the serene, quiet environment is pierced only by the vivid reflections and sounds of the birds. Occasionally, a canoe, yacht, or windsurfer meanders past the house, adding to the tranquil atmosphere.

The main living area of Tinkers Lakeside Lodge is a split-level, open-plan space encompassing the kitchen, dining area, and lounge. Designed for comfort and communal living, this space features a highly efficient fireplace that warms the entire upper level during winter, eliminating the need for additional heaters. Chunky wooden beams on the ceiling and above all doorways add a natural, rustic charm, seamlessly blending with the lodge’s earthy aesthetic. This inviting area is perfect for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the lodge’s serene ambiance and stunning views.
Kitchen
The kitchen at Tinkers Lakeside Lodge is spacious and elegantly designed, featuring sleek Caesar stone countertops that offer ample workspace. The kitchen is both functional and stylish, perfect for preparing gourmet meals. Just behind the main kitchen area, the scullery continues the theme with more Caesar stone counters and built-in cupboards, providing additional storage and prep space.
